Islamabad (Staff Reporter): The Government of Oman has announced the launch of the Omani Scholarship Program 2025–26, offering fully funded undergraduate opportunities to Pakistani students at selected universities in Oman.

According to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan, the scholarship provides a 100% tuition fee waiver, a monthly stipend (OMR 200 without housing or OMR 140 with housing), and one round-trip air ticket per year.

The program is open in the fields of Engineering, Humanities, Information Technology and Sciences, with the exception of Medicine. Admissions will be granted at leading Omani institutions such as Nizwa University, Dhofar University, Al Sharqiyah University, Majan University College, Gulf College, and the German University of Technology (GUtech).

Eligibility criteria require applicants to be Pakistani nationals aged 23 or younger, who have completed Intermediate (Grade 12) within the past three years. Students must also obtain an Equivalency Certificate from Oman’s Ministry of Education.

Applications must be submitted directly to Omani universities, with deadlines varying across institutions but no later than September 23, 2025. Applicants are also required to register with Oman’s Ministry of Higher Education and share details with the Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat.

Education experts say the initiative will not only open doors for Pakistani youth to pursue higher education abroad but also strengthen cultural and academic ties between Pakistan and Oman.
