“I-Day Celebrated with Passion at KPS University Road”

KARACHI, — The Karachi Public School, University Road Campus, on Wednesday celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with a vibrant program of performances and speeches, filling the campus with a renewed sense of national pride and unity.

The day’s proceedings commenced with the hoisting of the national flag to the strains of the national anthem, sung in unison by students, teachers, and staff. The event opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by prayers for the peace, prosperity, and stability of the country.

A series of meticulously prepared performances by students portrayed the historical struggle for independence. Traditional tableaus depicted pivotal moments in the freedom movement, while the young participants donned colorful cultural attire representing the country’s provinces, highlighting the unity in Pakistan’s diversity. Melodious renditions of national songs, accompanied by choreographed movements, added a stirring rhythm to the celebrations and visibly moved the audience.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Ghazal Baig spoke “Today, as we celebrate, I’m reminded of the Quaid’s powerful words: ‘There’s no power on earth that can undo Pakistan.’ Our youth’s unwavering commitment and spirit have always been the driving force behind this strength, and I’m confident you’ll continue to shape Pakistan’s future.”

She further encouraged students to take pride in their national identity while contributing positively to the country’s progress. Her speech received warm applause from the audience, many of whom were parents attending to witness their children perform.

The programme concluded with a collective dua for Pakistan’s prosperity, followed by expressions of gratitude from the school administration towards the teachers and students who had worked tirelessly to organise the event. The campus, adorned with green and white flags, echoed with the spirit of August 14 long after the formal programme had ended.
